Cool! Comments work now!
But seriously, you scared me with that big ol’ knife….if I tried to split the bean like that I’d have one less finger and I’m pretty sure no amount of raw food can grow one back
I really appreciate these videos you take time to make/post. The raw food world is still so new for me and I feel like a little kid learning it all and I can’t tell you how big of an impact you have made on my life in regard to raw food and my health.

Yeah you’re absolutely right! Watching back it looked a bit dangerous ha ha. If I were in my own kitchen I would b using scissors to open that vanilla bean pod. B careful either way.

That’s great! Brillant! Thank you to post some video, look like not tasty, but i’m sure about this: it’s tasty. Unfortunetely my job couldn’ help me to eat as i would like.
Thank you again. As you tell me on twitter, i can’t wait to see your raw chocolate milk!!! Yummy!!!

Love the Website. One thing however, and this is me just being a smartass. Your posting just below your almond milk post talks about the dangers of bottled water. And what do we see you using in your almond milk post, you can see it bottled water. You may want to look into a portable water filter of some sort. Just a thought.
Keep up the great work,
James

Gotta say I feel bad for sitting & eating a chocolate from my Advent Calendar watching that, but I did have a fab fruit smoothie of cranberries, apple, plum and orange earlier. Tangy :P. Gotta say, watching you open the pod with that knife had me nervous, you kinda need those fingers y’know
Anyway, passed on the article about soda to my bro’, I’ve never drank carbonated drinks ’cause I hate the fizz LOL. I was a bananas & water baby
Have a great last few shows and then a fabulous Christmas break. I’m so excited to get home.

Yes you’re right that’s a great idea. Music tours are notorious for going through a lot of plastic and not recycling. Can you recommend a good filter? I do love the fiji water as it has a high alkalinity.

I hope you do end up doing an episode about the controversy of raw almonds/other nuts cuz I’ve been wondering if the raw labeled almonds & cashews I buy in bulk @ Whole Foods are in fact actually raw. If not, that’s a real bummer and sucks they label them that way.
December 13th, 2009 on 6:23 am
No neither cashews nor almonds at whole foods are raw and it’s so misleading the fact that they’re allowed to say raw on the package. They should say pasteurized almonds.

Is there a way to tell if they are raw or not before you buy them? Do they look any different?
December 21st, 2009 on 4:28 pm
No they taste very similar and look the same but they have been flash pasteurized. You can find raw almonds online from the growers. I also heard that trader Joes imports them from spain and that they are raw. I’m not sure of this but worth investigating.

Hey Mr. Churko, I’m curious about how long the almond milk keeps. I’ve looked it up, but some sites say to consume within a couple hours because it starts to ferment & other sites say it keeps good for a couple of days. Don’t get me wrong, I’d rather drink it fresh every time, but sometimes I just can’t drink it all…it’s super filling. Thanks!

You should use within 4 days I reckon.
