Cory’s Raw Recommendations.

by admin on Oct.17, 2009, under Approved Raw Links

Hey everybody, I thought I’d make a post with links to raw sites that helped me on my journey and continue to do so. So many sites are selling things so it’s hard to get an unbiased perspective on the right way to do things. These links will give you a place to start with great information from people who have been there and done it. For me the proof is in the pudding. Are these people a good example? Do they look healthy? Do they have a positive message? Do they represent something that you would like in your life? Only you can answer. Enjoy.

I will add new links on an ongoing basis:

Tim VanOrden
1. www.runningraw.com
Tim VanOrden is really doing it. He’s a runner and is quite strict with what he eats and appears to be thriving. This guy doesn’t even eat nuts or seeds, only fruits and veggies. Watch his videos too, he’s a great speaker.

Gods-herbs
2. www.godsherbs.com
Dr. Robert Morse is a naturopath in Florida who has helped many people cure themselves of various forms of cancer and other diseases. His book, The Detox Miracle Sourcebook, was the very first raw book I read. It is a book I recommend as it is very comprehensive on the subject. I had a chance to meet him on my travels and consider him to be my raw guru. He has detox programs you can go on with or without his herbal tinctures that help expedite the process.

Storm Talifero
3. www.thegardendiet.com
This is a raw food family of 7. I came upon this website early in my raw days. Some of Storm and Jinjee’s kids have never eaten cooked food and are very healthy. Storm has been raw for over 30 years and looks amazing for his age. Apparently, most of his relatives have died from cancer, diabetes and other diseases. Storm is now 60 and going strong. As far as I know, they make their living selling their programs, ebooks, videos and ezine. Their intentions are pure and I have received Jinjee’s raw inspirations in my mailbox for over a year. They have a 7 day getting started on raw program which I think they sell for about 10 bucks that takes you step by step through the process.

raw vegan radio
4. www.rawveganradio.com
I shoulda put this link up first because just about everyone I link to here has appeared as a guest on Raw Vegan Radio podcast. Go here to get a broad perspective of the different raw world proponents. Download the podcasts to your ipod and listen to em in your car or while working out etc. Great info and Steve Prussack, the host, is a great guy and friend. I even appear as a guest a couple times.

alissa cohen
5. www.alissacohen.com
Remember the raw restaurant, Grezzo, I ate at on my Canadian Thanksgiving episode. Well this is the owner’s website. As you can see, she is doing quite well in the mainstream meadia having appeared on many TV shows. She has a message board called rawfoodtalk.com where you can go to ask questions and get support if you’re struggling.

Angela Stokes
6. www.rawreform.com
This woman’s story will amaze you. Angela Stokes lost 160 pounds on the raw food lifestyle. I met her and she had the most radiant glow. Her eyes were snow white. CNN even did a story on her. If you’re looking to lose weight on this lifestyle this should inspire you.

raw model
7. www.rawmodel.com
Here’s a dude who’s got the right idea. Read up on his ideas for a sustainable eco lifestyle. Great!

Carol Alt
8. www.carolalt.com
OK, link number 7 was for the girls. Here’s one for the guys. I’m sure many of you have heard of her. Super model raw foodist and guess how old she is. She’s definitely doing something right.

Boutenkos
9. www.rawfamily.com
This family is a staple in the raw movement world. They all individually have great stories of triumph over disease. The mom, Victoria has a great book out on why greens and green smoothies are so good for you.

Aris LaTham
10. www.sunfired.com
I get a kick out of this guy. His name is Aris LaTham. He says all the right things and has been a raw foodie for over 30 years. Watch his video clip and listen to his rawveganradio interview
